Inquisicar

Build: 38 inquisitor/17 sentinel/11 justicar

Use: This build is inquisitor version of DoL raid healing. It features no battle rez but does a bit more dps than the senticar (and also ranged).

Features:

Single target heal:  Healing Breath

Aoe heal: Healing Communion, Doctrine of Loyalty.

Cooldowns:

  • Touch the Light (sentiniel) – 45 sec CD, make next heal spell instant cast.
Macros:
There are very few macros for inquisicars. The basic rotation is to keep Sanction Heretic (SH) and Vex at 100% uptime > Nysys’s Rebuke > BoD (Bolt of Depravity) procs > BoJ (Bolt of Judgement) spam in order of priority.

1. BoJ movement macro

#show Bolt of judgment
suppressmacrofailures
cast bolt of judgment
cast Bolt of Radiance
cast Life’s Vengeance
cast Vex

Shamicar

Build: 38 shaman/17 sentinel/11 justicar

Use: This build is shaman version of DoL raid healing. It features no battle rez but does a bit more dps than the senticar

Features:

Single target heal:  Healing Breath

Aoe heal: Healing Communion, Doctrine of Loyalty.

Cooldowns:

  • Touch the Light (sentiniel) – 45 sec CD, make next heal spell instant cast.
Macros:
Shamans have a harder time generating macros than inquisitors as their normal DPS rotation only includes 1 lift based ability. Hence one need to make a separate macro for generating convictions.

1. Normal DPS macro

#show crushing blow
suppressmacrofailures
cast massive blow
cast frozen wrath
cast sanction heretic
cast lightning hammer
cast bolt of radiance
cast crushing blow
cast bolt of judgment

DPS builds

51 inquisitor

Build: 51 inquisitor/10 sentinel/5 warden

Use: This build is the primary ranged single target DPS build for the cleric.

Features:

Single target heal:  Healing Breath, Healing Spray, Healing current

Single Target dps: Sanction Heretic (SH), Vex, Bolt of Judgment, Bolt of Depravity, Nysyr’s Rebuke

AoE dps: Soul Drain, Circle of Oblivion

Macros
The inquisitor is all about rotations rather than macros. However, there are a couple of macros that you should have.

1. Fanaticism + SH

#show Sanction Heretic
suppressmacrofailures
cast Fanaticism
cast Sanction Heretic

2. Purge and Slow (pvp)
#show Purge
suppressmacrofailures
cast Impedge
cast Purge

3. Push and slow (pvp)

#show excommunicate
suppressmacrofailures
cast Impede
cast Excommunicate
cast Crushing Wave

Single target rotation:

I will just copy and paste this from an excellent post on Zam rather than trying to explain it on my own.

Like most inquisitor heavy builds, you will maintain your two major DoTs.
– Sanction Heretic
– Vex
These can easily be maintained by casting Sanction Heretic first, followed immediately by Vex, then using the SH Cooldown as a marker to when to recast both. As both last 15 seconds and SH CD is also 15 seconds.

You also want to maintain Spiritual Deficiency, Cast this Immediately as you engage a Mob, and refresh just before every 4th SH.

While these are maintained, you use Bolt of Judgment as a filler, You cast this until 1 of three major things,
1- Your SH CD finishes, in which case you reapply both Dots.
2- You have a Life and Death Concord, if this happens, you then use your instant Bolt of Depravity, then continue with Bolt of Judgment Spam.
3- You have to move, in this case you want to use your instant casts, Life’s Vengeance first, as it does high base damage and also because it is life damage this will be increased. And if it is on cooldown you then use Waterjet. Do this until you are able to stop movement, then resume Bolt of Judgment spam, unless your CD for SH has refreshed.

A tip for this rotation, Macro Fanaticism to SH, this means that you will have a large damage output with every 3rd SH, and Fanaticism will be used on every CD.

For longer fights you need to remember the main Priority system of this build.

Fanaticism > Dots > Life and Death Concord > Bolt Of Judgment

Also with long fights, remember your Aggressive Renewal CoolDown, to make the most of it use it at about 60-80% mana, and then on every cooldown afterwards.

51 Shaman

Build: 51 shaman/11 inquisitor/4 justicar

Use: This build is the primary melee single target DPS build. It does a bit more damage than the 51 inquisitor when you have low spell power (i.e. not as gear dependent). Its main drawback is that it is a melee build.

Macros

The largest part of the reason for such high dps is the macro prioritization. I currently run 2 macros for this spec, one for single target, and one for AoE. The most important thing about switching to AE macro is to not forget to change your vengeance as well! For single target you will obviously want to use Vengeance of the winter storm as it has synergy with the new 51 root. However for DPS on trash or AoE Bosses you will want to switch to Vengeance of the Primal North.

1. Single target dps

#show Frozen Wrath
cast Rage of the North
cast Frozen Wrath
cast Massive Blow
cast Sanction Heretic
cast Lightning Hammer
cast Crushing Blow
cast Jolt
cast Fated Blow
cast Glory of the Chosen
suppressmacrofailures

2. AoE Dps

#show Frozen Wrath
cast Rage of the North
cast Frozen Wrath
cast Massive Blow
cast Sanction Heretic
cast Strike of the Maelstrom
cast Lightning Hammer
cast Avalanche Strike
cast Jolt
cast Fated Blow
cast Glory of the Chosen
cast Ageless Ice
suppressmacrofailures

Durcell

Build: 31 shaman/21 justicar/14 inquisitor

Use: This is the primarily solo build with excellent support ability and DPS  for 5 mans (especially for AoE pulls).

Macros
1. Single target dps

#show Massive Blow
suppressmacrofailures
cast jolt
cast glory of the chosen
cast fated blow
cast sanction heretic
cast strike of the maelstrom
cast lightning hammer
cast massive blow
cast sovereignty
cast bolt of radiance
cast strike of judgement

2. AoE Dps
#show Rage of the North
suppressmacrofailures
cast rage of the north
cast jolt
cast glory of the chosen
cast fated blow
cast soul drain
cast strike of the maelstrom
cast even justice
Method:

Tag as many targets as possible with vex. Vex should be macroed with glory of the chosen to give you additional healing if you get crit as you are pulling. Use battle charge if possible when you get snared. Gather the mobs up and try to have them all face you. Mash AE macro until all dead; use ST macro if there’s a straggler or two. If you get really low on health use doctrine of bliss a few times. When low on mana, hit purpose/ageless ice immediately after a soul drain for quick mana recharge. If they are on CD use aggressive renewal. You should not ever have to drink with this build.

Niche Builds

MASH PvP Melee Build

Build: 28 justicar/28 shaman/12 warden

Use: The M*A*S*H healer is a highly-mobile, durable melee Cleric with strong AoE healing capability. This spec differs significantly from traditional Cleric healing specs in that it is not based on cast-time abilities. It is a pvp healer build with a twist.

Guide: You can find an excellent and detailed guide to this build at Taugrim’s blog.

51 Warden

Build: 51 warden/15 sentinel/0 purifier

Use: This build is full HoT heal spec for both tank and raid heals. It needs a lot more micromanagement than other builds but can be very rewarding to those who have mastered it. It is also the most mobile healing build there is!

Features:

Single target Heal: Healing Breath, Healing Spray, Healing Current, Soothing Stream, Orb of the Stream

AOE heal: Healing Communion, Downpour, Orbs of the Tide, Healing Flood, Healing Showers

Cooldowns:

  • Orbs of the Tide (warden): 45 sec CD, surround ally with orbs that heal 5 other players when ally is damaged.
  • Orbs of the Stream (warden): 45 sec, single target version of Orbs of the Tide
  • Downpour (warden): 60 sec CD, massive AoE heal for 10 raid members.
  • Tidal Surge (warden): 45 sec CD, increase effectiveness of next healing spell by 50%
  • Ripple (warden): 45 sec CD, cause any single target HOT to affect 5 additional players.

  1. Awesome post!! I am currently gearing up for GP and am playing with different kind of healing specs. I also found your 51 inq information helpful. My current dps build is 51inq/11 jus/4sen for the DoL but will try out your build cause it sounds like higher dps build ye?!

  2. I have a 51 Inq/Caba that I decided to make a healer in PvP events, if possible (already have a 50 necro/lock mage caster as main). I have some medical/ concentration/reaction time issues (I’m 64 and memory is going south which is impacting my playing). So, I’m looking for a build that allows me to spam heals without trying to heal people individually. Could you tell me if that’s possible, and if so, what build I should use. Also, I don’t care about DPS’ing, so it would have to be without this conviction thing I keep reading about. I figure to stay behind the group or stay close to a warrior and heal him/them. Would also appreciate what heals to spam, whether I need macros or not, etc. Sorry to impose on you, but I don’t know which build to use by reading them.
    Thank you for your help.

    • I would try a build that is heavy into warden. Sent/warden might be a good build to look into for pvp. What you can do is spam Healing Flood and Healing Communion (just target yourself and spam those). Use your Healing Shower on cooldown. Keep in mind that this build is mana very intensive due to the spammy nature of the heals!

  3. Thank you, will try that.

  4. […] There are a couple of variations at the level 50. It all depends on what you need. These build are all sent/warden. If you are looking for other builds at level 50, check out my common cleric builds. […]

  5. Greetings, I do believe your web site may be having web browser compatibility problems.
Whenever I take a look at your site in Safari, it
looks fine however, when opening in IE, it has some overlapping issues.

I simply wanted to provide you with a quick heads up! Aside from that, fantastic
    website!
